​研究概述 | Research Overview

針對人類活動產生的廢棄資源物質,ART研究室從5個面向發展相關的研究課題,包含:
1. 
減量:優化製程提高能資源利用效率以減少物質廢棄;促進物質廠內循環利用。

2. 再利用:應用物理性選別或乾式分選程序分離有價物質直接進行再利用。
3. 再生(低耗能):將廢棄資源物質以濕式分選、化學萃取或非高溫程序分離有價物質或再製為材料。
4. 再生(高耗能):應用高溫程序,例如:焚化、熱解、氣化、熔融、燒結等程序回收能源與物質,或轉化為其他材料與產品。
5. 妥善處置:現今技術上或經濟上無法回收之物質應予以妥善處置,將可能的影響降至最低。
 
ART研究室的概念是希望須妥善處置的物質趨於極小化,優先選擇低能耗的方法開發資源再生技術。
For the resources that are wasted during human activities, ART Lab develops five research topics: 
1.
Reduction: Improving production processes to enhance the efficiency of resource use; promoting internal recycling.
2.
Reuse: Using physical/dry separation methods to recover valuable substances.
3.
Recycling (low-energy): Using chemical/wet processes to extract valuable substances or re-produce materials.
4.
Recycling (high-energy): Using high-temperature processes, e.g. incineration, pyrolysis, gasification, smelting, and sintering, to recover energy or transform wastes into useful materials/products.
5.
Proper disposal: The non-recyclable wastes must be properly disposed of. 

ART Lab suggests that the amount of non-recyclable wastes should be minimized, and low-energy technology is the first priority
